The Heimtextil 2024 Experience

The year 2024 started with a new collection, new experiences, connections, and inspiration. It was the 9th edition of the Heimtextil fair, in which Mendola Fabrics participated as exhibitors. Heimtextil is the largest and most important international fair dedicated to home textiles, and our participation has already become a tradition at this event.

The Mendola Fabrics team had a unique and colorful booth, representing the latest trends in interior design and textiles. Heimtextil is also the event where our Spring-Summer collection is showcased in preview to the international and national audience. The new collection was received with enthusiasm, and the new articles will be presented to the general public starting in March 2024.

Mendola Fabrics Stand

Our stand has hosted hundreds of meetings and inspired visitors with unique presentations where our curtains and drapes were in the spotlight.

The decoration was guided by global trends, which were also showcased at the fair. From sustainability, represented by fabrics made from recycled materials or natural fibers, to sophisticated style - illustrated by rich velvets and intensely pigmented materials. Our booth caught the eyes and attracted visitors with curtains and drapes in a wide range of styles, suitable for any type of arrangement.

Heimtextil Trends

Every year, Heimtextil presents the emerging trends for the upcoming seasons. The council formed by Heimtextil aims to combine inspiration with insight, based on research and analysis of relevant global socio-cultural trends, to provide design and color directions for the 24/25 season.

This year, the trend that guided the Heimtextil story was widespread change, under the motto of "New Sensitivity".

"New Sensitivity"

In this context, sensitivity means considering impact when making a decision or product. We need a sensitive way of thinking and considering our reciprocal relationship with technology and nature, functioning as an interconnected nexus. Specifically, we observe a New Sensitivity emerging in home textiles through three different approaches: plant-based, bioengineered, and technological. All three directions show different paths towards a more sensitive textile world.

The Trend Hall, the space where trends come to life through various installations and creative displays, also hosted 4 articles from Mendola Fabrics, which were exhibited to illustrate the trend of fabrics made from recycled materials.

The 4 articles were: the Janus, Modern, Scento draperies, and the Refresh curtain (an innovative curtain with air purifying properties).
