Deco Days 2021 Agenda

In the last 5 years, Deco Days has been the benchmark event of our brand, Mendola Fabrics. Textiles, business, art, interior design, and originality are a few keywords that describe the past editions. Through Mendola Fabrics we aim to reach those with a passion for interior design, textiles, and home decor, bridging the gap between the business market and the final consumer.

The concept of our interior design accelerator event translates into a wide range of activities and interactive sessions, meaning that participants had access to a wide range of information in the field of interior design. With this event our intention was to recreate the atmosphere of an exhibition fair, the main inspiration being the Deco Team area within Heimtextil (the most important home textile fair internationally)

The first day was dedicated exclusively to interior designers, exhibitors, and Mendola Fabrics business partners.

The start of the first day was given by the launch campaign of the Mendola Fabrics Fall / Winter Collection. The Fall collection includes over 80 new models of curtains and drapes: velvet, Jacquard, blackout, delicate fabrics, pleasant to the touch, or fabrics made from recycled materials.

In the second half of the day, the designers and business partners had a tour of the event and the design concepts, presented by Bob Rădulescu.

Together with Ileana Răducanu, the interior designers had the opportunity to get directly involved in the panel discussion Perspectives in interior design, and later the five designers discussed the topics addressed, the color palettes, and the source of inspiration used.

The tape demonstration workshop, carried out in collaboration with Bandex, offered a practical perspective on how to wrinkle curtains and drapes and how they influence the design of an arrangement.

The first day ended with live jazz rhythms, in a framework dedicated to networking.

The second day was dedicated to designers and the general public.

Together with Adela Pârvu, we got involved in a seminar on The role of design and designers in interior design.

Dedicated to creativity and exploring the possibilities of arrangement, a workshop session with mood boards took place. Adrian Balcău led the entire session, the workshop being held in the form of a mini interior design course.

The agenda of the day continued with a series of presentations: together with Moth, we discovered the story of unique tables; with Norda Shop we talked about the passion for Scandinavian design, and Narativo brought an extra dash of color through Deco Stories.

The third day was also dedicated to the public and interior designers.

The third day began with a session on the role of decorations in interior design, supported by Nobila Casa. Together with Alina Ceușan, Mădălina Merca, and Teo’s Kitchen, we got involved in the discussion panel on How to decorate the house and the table.

In the second part of the day, XTDeco surprised us with the unexpected places where wallpaper can be used, Feydom presented us with a new generation of modular sofas, adapted to the changes in our daily lives, and with by Clujul Sustenabil, Atelier Roca, and the Art Mirror Association, we outlined a discussion about sustainability and recycling, entitled Design for Change.

Throughout the day, participants were able to explore the arrangements, to engage in discussions with interior designers or influencers present.

We thank all those who took part in our event and those who contributed to this edition of Deco Days. We thank our designers, partners, collaborators and participants for their involvement, creativity, and inspiration.

Together we give a voice to the interior design community of Romania!
