More than 130 designers accepted our challenge to create an interior design concept to be implemented in Deco Days 2021 | interior design accelerator.

Thank you all for your involvement and time!

And because we were impressed by so many projects, we decided to award 2 special prizes, in addition to the 1st prize.

Together with Ileana Raducanu, Bianca Comsa, and Mihai Caraghiaur, we judged the received projects, byfollowing:
• Consistency of items used / combinations of selected items
• Simulation, how to use and integrate objects in the presentation
• Presentation of the concept and sources of inspiration used
• The concept approached
• Creativity
• Following the rules

Together, we decided the winners of our contest dedicated to interior designers:

GEORGIANA ANIȚA

1st Place

ELEGANT MINIMAL

Context: Following the principles of contemporary design, the concept is defined by elegance - minimal, with fine textures, vibrant colors, and golden accents.

The space is divided into two areas: living room with sofa, library, coffee tables and discussion area with armchairs. To convey the feeling of comfort, we proposed delicate textiles such as satin, velvet, viscose.

The color range is varied, neutral tones and vibrant colors being used in a complementary design.

Concept-based on contrasts and well-defined lines

Context: For this arrangement, I decided to use color to suggest a delimitation of the space.


The contrasts are not only at the chromatic level, they go further being also present at the level of geometric motifs and patterns such as the juxtaposition between the wallpaper with a more sober/masculine design and fluff that contrasts it not only by color but also by their fluid volume.

I wanted to create a complex space in which to find several subzones that highlight the different objects in the exhibition.

Context: The modern style present in the living room design is represented by simple lines and materials that boldly combine dramatic colors and prints.

The concept of arrangement exudes an elegant and intimate air.

The combination of strong textures in an elegant, modern atmosphere gives a distinct character to the whole environment.
